A debt-ridden car salesman in Minnesota hires two criminals to kidnap his wife so he can squeeze ransom money out of his wealthy father-in-law. The plan quickly goes wrong, and a pregnant local police chief starts investigating.
Why watch: An odd, darkly comic crime story with dry humor and sudden violence, in classic Coen brothers style.
